The following is a reply to an online friend who was responding to me. I had posted a quote about Strong People being those that lift others up, rather than putting them down. Joseph, a good man, was pointing out his (valid) concerns about some of the the tortures and horrors currently going on in our world. And here's my reply... for the record
It's very sad Joseph, very, very sad. I was about to say the message had nothing to do with that but I'm reminded that's not true, it surely does. Just because one believes they are the strongest, does not make it so. The need for Dominance, Power, the Killing of Others, is not spiritual strength. It's far from it and more ego than id. Blessings and I will continue to pray for those poor souls that are subjected to all of that horror. I do not normally post about the middle east... I read and hear and feel enough about it and we here in the Northeast part of the US surely have felt their presence and it's unwelcome to be sure. The media covers the negative very well but once in a while, if you look, you'll find people helping people, loving and helping one another to get up and keep going, with their friend at their side... despite the horror. We are "Boston Strong" for example! We must share the light, grow it one person at a time and unite. I'm not saying "they" and "their acts" are okay, absolutely not. I'm saying I personally am here to try to lift others up and I have to do that in the way that represents my Spirit.... and that I do. You are doing what you need to do and that's okay too. We are trying to help, and that's what The Light is all about. There are many who are able to fight the terror in physical and tactical ways and that's what they do, thank goodness for their help! I'm not going to say that everyone that believes in a certain someone is bad... I don't believe that. I believe that the ego-driven maniacs are bad, yes, I do. However, I will not allow much of my energy to focus there, it serves no-one but to feed their desire for power and they have quite enough ego thank you. It is Spirit that is strongest in spite of anyone that puts anyone else down, whether it's physical torture, emotional beatings or bullying, etc. The Spirit is eternal, the rest is temporary, and we have hope and we share love and we help one another whether "they" like it or not, because that is what LOVE DOES!
