Just One Thing
There is just one thing I want this Christmas time. It's the same thing I really want every day of my life. It's the reason people commit suicide, when they don't feel they have it. It's the reason people sing songs of Joy! It's the fundamental thing that keeps the wheels of progress moving forward, regardless of the economics of the day and age.
When we have a feeling of love in our hearts for even one other being on the planet, we can find within us the drive, the motivation, yes-the spirit, to move our mountains! We may have to crawl up them inch by inch, yet we will continue to do so when we are motivated to help someone we love.
Perhaps we've lost someone so dear to us that our heart is breaking. Remembering that there are still people here that have been put in our lives for a reason, can help us to pick ourselves up and get back on the road we are meant to travel. While it may not be a quick success, it's surely a start!
So many people today are feeling the weight of the times of the day. The lack of jobs, the lack of caring, the sudden on-rush of stress can bring us to our knees, at a time that can truly help bring us together, if we will choose to focus on love, rather than fear. In spite of the pressures we may face, the pain we may be feeling, the obstacles we have run into, we always have a choice. Choosing to deal with each day, with an attitude of Love, or Fear.
I'm not here to tell you that it's an easy thing. It's not always easy to choose Love when everything around you seems to be screaming FEAR!
So this Christmas, I want just one thing. For those near and dear to me to show a little Love. For my friends, yes, you are included, to try to show a little more love, and a little less competition for the brass ring.
At the end of your days, do you truly want to be focusing on the things you wish you had said or done rather than cherishing the final moments of a life well lived? From my limited perspective, a life well lived includes sharing the love we have within us in whatever place we may have landed. You are there for a reason, it's no accident or coincidence that you are in that place, at this time and under these circumstances. Your Guides know full well what the next step is for you, and I can assure you with 100% certainty that it involves a path of love. For they do not, none of them, wish you to focus on fear.
Sometimes we need a reminder, it's not that we aren't aware of the fact that our days are limited. It's more often the fact that we are doing the best we can, with what we have, for those in our closest circle of family or friends. We tire easily and we hunger for something, yet we're so involved in our sphere of influence that we cannot always step outside the bubble we are so used to living in, to see it.
There is only one thing worth living for and it's the same thing many are dying for, while fighting for our freedom, in whatever way they may be doing so. It is the right to share love. When you get right down to it, it's not a matter of Gay, Straight, Rich, Poor, Humble or Forthright. It's a matter of having the right to share love in a reasonably comfortable way with those that we care for. When we put ourselves first, we are doing what nature intended; and when we remember that by loving ourselves, we can recover the strength to be able to reach out a hand to help someone who is hurting.... we have found another way to express love.
Perhaps you have love in your life and you're wondering why this is even an issue for anyone. "Let them find their own" some say. In the end, we are all connected. Our energies intertwine, and our collective consciousness incorporates all that is, and we create our situations, our circumstances and bring others into our lives for reasons of learning, sharing and caring.
So this Christmastime, I wish for one thing. That everyone in my sphere tries just a little bit more, to remember that we're all in this together. We're all one big family. The Big Picture, if you will... is what I'm shooting for. We're truly not alone, not even you. You were led to this blog for a reason. Perhaps that's what you need, a little kick-start out of yourself and back into the Spirit of the Season!
Remember, it's the "Spirit" of the Season that makes it special. Not whether you are celebrating the Birth of Christ or even believe that there was such a person. Some of my closest friends are not Christians, yet act with such a great love for one another in their day to day lives, that I wonder if they met the man themselves! You cannot buy love from an institution, you can only find it by sharing it.
Blessings, with Great Love in Spirit my friends....
