How can I focus on love with all this crap going on?

These are the days when we are in acceleration mode, the experts say from so many arena's.  We have speedy electronics to help us do everything from research and bill-paying to connecting with others of like minds and keeping tabs on what's happening today in our world.

We're pressured!  Pressured by the economy, employment and business issues,  we're working doubly hard to keep, get, or produce enough to maintain a roof over our heads and for our loved ones.

Our relationships are heightened due to the stresses our nervous systems are under. Some deter their view from those they love nearly entirely as they just can't seem to find the time at all for months or years at a stretch. Others cling onto their close family and loved ones as the lifeline they truly can be during times of real changes.

Health issues suffer, as we may have health care, but have so many priorities to deal with that it seems to end up on the back burner on a mild warm setting.  We take off the cover now and then, stir things up to keep it going and back on warm it goes.

Time for ourselves is nearly unheard of.  The only ones that seem to have enough are the elderly, the ill, and the lonely, all of whom desperately need contact!  Most of us have some idea of what it is we want, and some plan and work the plan to the best of their abilities... but life sooner or later gets in the way and we're off course again, wondering how it happened.

You don't have to be an expert to see it, we all have it in our circle these days!

A long time ago I was given some invaluable advice.  I was in my mid to late twenties and was seriously considering having a child.  I was largely responsible then, as I am now to some extent, for producing an income.  I've never been a woman to take the back seat to any man, I prefer the team approach, and am happy to say I found that relationship in my 30's and this year we'll celebrate our 20th year of marriage!  But that's quite another story to tell in the near future... many peaks and valleys there to tell you of!

As you might guess, I was told there never would be a good time to have a child.  I did not want to have a child until I was personally able to manage financially myself.  My intuition was way ahead of my intellect, and it's a good thing I listened to that gut feeling that wouldn't be silent on the issue!  So I'd enjoy my friends children and hope someday it would happen for me.  I was putting quite a bit into my "want" account you see.  The Universe had quite a lot of deposits from my requests and well....Eventually I hit a wall, as I usually do.  Not a wall in the sense that you are probably familiar with.  For me, when I hit a wall like this, it means the green lights are on, the siren's are blaring, and every sign says "GO!".   I went out an bought an Ovulation Predictor test that October and was in the family way by the middle of November!  I'm funny that way.... I can hang on for years while everyone that knows me wonders what the heck I'm waiting for, and then wham, I'm on a different path and their left shaking their heads wondering what got me going!?

There is a point to this story that's relevant to the title.

You're in fast mode, keeping up with the Jones's isn't even the story anymore.  It's about basics, helping family, reaching out to loved ones and friends to support in whatever way you can.  Your dreams are on the back burner with your health issues and personal time requests.  Here's this Spirited Daydreamer again that's sounding like she's about to tell me all I need to do is show a little love and everything will magically be alright!  Like rubbing a lamp and the Genie asks me for my 3 wishes!

Well.... not quite.  I'm a no-nonsense lightworker for a reason.  I've been and still am, in the REAL world everyday.  I'm not hiding out in my meditation room experiencing everything through the pain and suffering, or joys and laughter of those I work with... although there is some of that in the equation to be sure!   So what's the point?

My point is.... eventually you'll wake up and realize what is important to you.  If what you are doing is enough for you, you'll keep doing it.  When and if you make a decision to do something else, including share the love, you will!   I cannot remember the author or the movie but there's a fantastic quote that sums it up....

"You're the only problem you have, and baby, you're the only solution!"

In the meanwhile, give yourself some credit for being here!  For getting up every day and dealing with whatever your life involves.  You do not have to do anything you don't want to do.  When you're feeling like you've hit my kind of wall, you'll just wake up one day and make a decision and your life will be off on a new adventure.  Trust me.... I've done this many times!  Life's a wonderful thing.... so if you can't find the lovely butterfly feelings that's totally fine.  Just do yourself a favor and smile in the mirror at yourself once in a while, because YOU are your own toolkit to fix your life!  Treat yourself well, it's a long-distance run, and the love you give yourself is essential to your journey!  And no matter what.... don't regret doing what feels right to you!

Living in love,
Blessings!
